Privacy Policy
TheHunterScout ("we", "our") is a private, self-hosted home lab. This policy explains what information the tools hosted here handle and how it is used. These are personal-use applications, not a public product.
Information we handle
We keep only what is needed for the tools to work — for example, the content you enter, your account identifier so your data stays separate from anyone else's, and settings you choose. We do not sell data, run advertising, or share information with third parties for their own purposes.
Connecting third-party accounts
Some tools let you connect a third-party account (such as Google) so they can act on your behalf — for instance, creating or updating a file that you explicitly ask for. When you connect an account, we store the access credentials needed to perform those actions on your behalf, through a self-hosted connections service. You can disconnect an account at any time, which removes those stored credentials.
We request the minimum access required. For Google, this is limited to per-file access to items the app itself creates or that you specifically open with it — the app cannot see the rest of your Drive.
Google user data
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through Google is used only to provide the feature you requested, is not transferred to others except as needed to provide that feature or as required by law, is not used for advertising, and is not read by humans except with your consent or for security purposes.
How information is used
Information is used solely to operate the requested features — storing your content, keeping your session, and carrying out the actions you initiate. It is not used for any other purpose.
Retention and deletion
Content and connections are kept until you delete them or disconnect the relevant account. Disconnecting a third-party account removes the stored credentials for it.
Security
The services run on private, access-controlled infrastructure. Third-party access credentials are held by a dedicated connections service rather than the individual apps.
Your choices
You can disconnect any linked account and request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
